HOOPERS

Canine Hoopers is a fun dog activity that’s ideal for dogs and owners of all ages and fitness levels.

Dogs navigate a course of hoops, barrels and tunnels with the same pace and excitement as agility, 

but because there is no need for jumping, running on equipment at height or tight turns it is far more accessible for all dogs and people.

It’s a fun activity with added benefits.  Hoopers teaches the dog to work at a distance from their human.  Hoopers is known to improve other dog behaviours such as recall and general attention while outside - many handlers enjoy their walks more after this sort of training activity.  Its also great foundation for other dog sports such as agility and gun dog work as it encourages your dog to work away from you while still listening!

At ARY Dog Training we are all Canine Hoopers World accredited instructors.  We run classes for absolute beginners and those that have done some Hoopers before.  All you need is a dog and some enthusiam - maybe a sense of humour too.
